I must admit, I was freakishly grumpy and not full of anything thankful. Maggie was driving me nuts with her incessant talking. I just wasn’t into the spirit and I couldn’t tell you why.
Then I spent an hour laughing with my daughter as we traded turns tickling each other.
Felt happy about it being one of the few days a year where it’s socially acceptable to drink wine and wash dishes simultaneously.
Appreciated the warmth of my home with lots of blankets to cover us.
A warm shower on a cold day
Even though for me it is the little things in life that makes me grateful, appreciative, or just lucky, I think we need to forget at times so we can remember. Because it seems that the remembering is what makes it truly special.
